Youth
Young people aged 18 to 35 building first careers and first businesses.
Northern Cape Computer Hub, registered as Kapa Bokone Computer Club NPC, is a training and skills development provider that bridges the gap in ICT, business and entrepreneurship literacy.
Kapa Bokone is Sesotho and Setswana for Northern Cape. We started in 2023 with a simple belief: talent is everywhere in our province, and access to technology should be too.
Since then we have trained more than 700 youth, women and persons with disabilities in digital and computer skills. We take training to the towns and settlements where people live, teach in their own languages, and make sure every participant leaves with something they built.
Today we work with renewable energy producers, government departments, universities and global development partners to grow a digitally skilled Northern Cape.
To advance ICT, AI and entrepreneurship skills in rural and township communities, creating real pathways into work and business.
5,000 youth, women and persons with disabilities trained by 2030.
Young people aged 18 to 35 building first careers and first businesses.
Women entrepreneurs and changemakers growing businesses with digital tools.
Accessible, patient, hands on computer training that opens doors.
Small towns and settlements right across the Northern Cape.

Founder and Managing Director
Born in Kimberley and raised in a rural community, Bataung founded the Hub so that young people across the province can access the same opportunities that technology created in Bataung's own life.
Bataung brings nearly a decade of experience in technology analysis, media and skills development to the Hub. That journey began as a technology analyst on Massiv Metro radio from 2017 to 2019, and continued in 2021 as co owner and Editor in Chief of iAfrikan, where Bataung reports on artificial intelligence, startups and digital policy across the continent. Bataung is a regular technology voice on SABC, 702, Power FM, SAfm and Kaya FM, has presented research on information security and asset management in Melbourne, Australia, and holds an LLB focused on cyber law together with training in entrepreneurship and business literacy. Every NCCH programme is shaped by this blend of technology insight, policy knowledge and practical business experience.
